Day 1: Fleet-race

To the disappointment of the team who has shown good speed in strong winds, the breeze from the last days (8-12m/s) has disappeared just in time for the first start of the Worlds. One might have thought that this might change the character of the races compared to the tune-up regatta, but no ... the fastest way to the first mark was still winning the start windward and going out far to the right of the course.


Melker succeeded best of the team with two top ten placements, while the rest of the team had more difficulties. The scoring however is still very tight as you can see from the complete result-list after two races: result-day1.

Both support team/ parents and sailors call it an early night today so we are up for new tasks tomorrow since the schedule is tight and the tasks at hand demanding:
