During the first team-racing day, Sweden secured a save win in the first match against the sailors representing the United Arabic Emirates. The second match was a defeat against Spain. According to the sailors this was due to lack of communication and "klantighet" at the finshline. Losing another match whould have set an end to the team-racing adventure but fortunatelly the team could refocus and secure victories against Hongkong and Norway and thus qualify for the second day with 16 out of 48 nations left.
On the second day there are no easy matches to be expected. Sweden will start against Greece who won all their matches the first day, and potentially already in the second match meet defending champion USA.
